About Arium Biolabs

Arium Biolabs is a biotechnology company focused on advanced drug design and the engineering of enzymes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and industrial applications. Founded in 2018, the company was established to translate the latest scientific discoveries about how proteins and enzymes function into practical, high-impact solutions. Our mission is to harness modern biochemical insight and computational innovation to accelerate the development of safer, more effective technologies for human health and industry.

The company was founded by experts in biochemistry and high-performance computational methods, bringing together decades of combined experience in enzyme science, molecular simulation, and data-driven design. We are driven by rigorous scientific principles, a strong commitment to real-world impact, and the belief that the next generation of therapeutics will be shaped by a deep understanding of enzyme mechanisms. Above all, Arium Biolabs is committed to pioneering approaches that lead to safe, effective, and accessible medicines for patients and communities worldwide.

Our Mission

We are harnessing the power of enzyme engineering to address some of the most urgent challenges in healthcare and manufacturing. Through innovation, collaboration, and scientific excellence, we create biologically driven solutions capable of transforming how diseases are treated and how essential products are made. Our goal is to translate enzyme science into real-world impact—delivering technologies that improve lives, enhance safety, and advance human health.

What problem is Arium Biolabs currently solving?: Arium Biolabs’ immediate focus is the development of next-generation biotherapies for patients suffering from substance-use disorders, including addiction to natural and synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, as well as methamphetamine dependence. For many of these conditions, effective treatments simply do not exist, and the standard options available today—such as Methadone, Naloxone, and Buprenorphine—are far from optimal. Governments, healthcare providers, and families are urgently seeking new, highly effective therapeutic solutions for these “diseases of despair,” which impact millions of lives worldwide. The estimated market opportunity for improved opioid and stimulant addiction therapies alone is roughly $10 billion annually.

Beyond addiction medicine, Arium Biolabs’ core enzyme-engineering platform is fully applicable to treating a wide range of metabolic disorders. These conditions represent another substantial unmet need, with a global market estimated at $5–10 billion annually. By leveraging our foundational technology across these diverse applications, we aim to deliver novel therapies that address high-value medical challenges and offer meaningful benefits to patients.
